Today I'm very grateful for the Bella Band, which is basically a seamless elastic band you wear over your waist to keep your pants up when they are unbuttoned. The top button did not get buttoned this morning - nor will it for quite some time. In fact, the second button is only going to last for so long. Eventually the zipper will be down, too, but who cares because the Bella Band hides it all! I ordered it online weeks ago and I'm glad I had the intelligence to order it early because I never expected to be using it already.
When I looked in the mirror this morning, I realized the bump had arrived. Granted I didn't have a rock hard stomach before, but it was basically flat (especially considering I had dropped about 5 pounds early on). Now I'm looking forward to looking pregnant instead of a) slightly overweight; b) extremely bloated; or c) looking like I have extremely bad posture.
Bump at 5 weeks (basically the "before" shot) and then today at 8 1/2 weeks:

@shanella - I have a feeling I'm gonna have a BIG baby! lol
@Kim - everyone that I know that got babies this year had big babies!! :) Must be something in the water! :)

@girlxonaxstring@xanga - Judging by the size of my mother-in-law when she was carrying my husband, I would say so! lol
@Kim - But that's ok because the basketball belly is super cute :) I think I'll end up that way once this little guy really starts growing because he is taking up all the space in there. I know he is going to be big too because my husband and I were both over 8 lbs. Yay...
I do hope you know I meant that as a compliment. It's good to be all belly :) I always like it when people tell me that.

Holy crap that's early! It's weird, some people show right away, and some girls only start showing at 3-4 months. Weird. Also, the band sounds great... instead of having to get maternity pants and all that that you only wear for a few months, once or twice in your life. I also know why I dind't know you were pregnant... I'm way behind on xanga posts! But I'm catching up now so yay again for Mrs. Preggers Neyer!
