That title makes me laugh, but there really are certain things that seem to make this little McNugget do the chicken dance! Wednesday night was the first time I felt it. I had rushed into bible study about 15 minutes late, and no sooner did I settle in and begin to share my answer for the ice breaker, when suddenly I was interrupted by a crazy flutter of movement in my belly! Some women have described this initial experience as bubbles popping, butterflies, etc. But in my experience it felt like a toy helicopter had suddenly taken off in my womb and took a 10 minute flight. It was so hard to concentrate on what I was saying that I had to stop and let the ladies know what was going on. It was really neat because it was the first time ever - and they were right there! I'm guessing my running around prior to sitting is what caused the excitement.
I didn't feel so much yesterday during the day until around the same time last night when I was in choir. I started noticing the baby would kick around like a ninja every time I sang, especially during really high or really low notes. When the whole choir got really loud, it was like there was a party in my belly. Needless to say I think my child is a music lover. Choir must have really woken the kid up because he/she was fairly active the rest of the night, continuing to sputter around even after I fell sleep. I woke up to his/her happy dance a few times during the first half of the night.
This morning things seems calm until I got in the shower and then the child started jumping again.
Such a silly little baby!! Today I have noticed random movements here and there - either I'm more sensitive to it or the baby is getting stronger legs from all this practice. All I know is it is a wonderful feeling and yet so very weird!! Sometimes it feels like there are little fingers tickling my belly from the inside.

awww that's so cute :)
ah yes... the personality emerges... that's so freakin' sweet...
i'd like for any pro-abortion fanatic to discount that the blessing swimming in your womb right now is just a mass of dead, lifeless cells...
cuz if a bag of cells can bounce to some kickin music... then i'm not Asian... but then again, last I check, God formed and fashioned life in your womb... and the little thing swimming in you reacts to music, the shoot... i don't know what to say...
wow! that's amazing! my mom told me that the first time she felt me move in her womb she almost threw up because it was so weird! haha she said it was like a little alien.
Aw, that's so exciting! The first time I felt Eli move I was listening to Blindside (an alt-rock/punkish Christian band from Sweden), so I am confident that he's going to be a little punk rocker :)
That is so awesome!! I can't wait to experience that.
Ahh!! I STILL remember the first time I felt Noah in my belly. I was sitting in class and it felt like a big blob rolling in my belly!! It was such an amazing experience!! Right it down in your baby book/pregnancy log!! Ahh..I am getting all teary! I am just so happy for you! And it brings back such wonderful memories!! Enjoy it!
