I realise that in cooking people use their hands a lot. I mean, we wash our hands a million times and use the gloves to help us handle the food and probably change gloves a million times a day but I used my hand in preparing almost everything! The salads - in tossing it AND putting it in bowls. The pasta - in taking it out of the tub and tossing it into vats to be boiled. The fries - in refrying. The cookies - in laying them out. The tomatoes - in dicing. I mean, your hands are used in EVERYTHING.
One thing I love about the camp though is that they stress sanitizing and cleanliness. No one has ever been sick and they are very careful in cleaning and sterilizing everything after use. While I used my hands a lot at least I felt OK eating the food because I knew how it was prepped and that it was clean. However, it does make me wonder what is going on behind the scenes in kitchens ....

sometimes i think it is better to not know...and just trust the Lord to protect us! i get concerned about this at times, too...
